Guest Post: Jenny, Hank and Hunt

Today is the last one of our guest posts... at least until next month, when we are off to Brazil! We wanted the end this beautiful guest post season with one of my favorite bloggers out there, the very talented Jenny from Hank + Hunt!! Jenny created such an easy DIY that i can't wait to try! So perfect for this next Thanksgiving, don't you think? Thanks my darling Jenny for doing such an inspirational guest post!!

Hi! It's me Jenny, from Hank + Hunt, with a very simple yet modern take on garland.  This is perfect for the upcoming festivities in the next few months! I'm so excited that Sofia and Andre asked to have me do a diy for their gorgeous blog!

You will need:

removeable gold tape (I found mine at Michaels)

scissors

paper cutter

cotton twine

1. Cut strips of tape, about 9-10 inches long. Center each strip on your paper cutter and cut in half.

2. Place two strips on top of each other. Cut each half strip, into 3 pieces, about 3-4 inches long. *the goal is to have two pieces the same size, to save you from trimming later on.

3. Start with about 6-12 inches of twine for hanging, then stick on your first piece. Peel back the paper and center the twine on the sticky side.

4. Peel back the paper on the second piece and stick on top of the first piece, covering the twine in the middle.  Try to match your edges, to minimize trimming.

5. Repeat with the remaining pieces of tape about 1-2 inches apart. Trim edges with scissors.

Hang and enjoy.  This garland looks pretty when hung traditionally side to side, but is especially striking when hung vertically.  Can you imagine a bunch of these as a backdrop for photos?

One roll of tape makes about a 10 foot garland.

Thank  you so much for having me! xoxo from across the pond!
