This venue located in the North of Portugal dates from the beginning of 12th century. An old Monastery embellished by perfectly designed paths and artistic fountains has a graceful garden with a small pond, where you can still see the old retaining wall of stone. The massive walls, with various colors and unique textures of this stone Monastery, are absolutely captivating and inspired us for this editorial and of course, were the perfect framing for every image!

inspired gatherings IX
Every change we get, we create something that showcases our own aesthetics as a brand, and we usually call it Inspired Gatherings. Normally is not a full editorial with model or too heavy on details and styling, but everytime, each image speaks to us in a way we truly relate as a brand. For our latest Inspired Gathering, we paired withT Bakes, who designed this next spectacular cake and cookies.
workshop greg finck
Last May we traveled to the South of France to design and style the third edition of Greg Finck's workshop. This year Greg challenged us to create something inspired by Alice in Wonderland (please make sure to follow this link, to see the actual images of the workshop taken by Greg Finck).
Although we were completely emerged in the creation of each set and we didn't had anytime to spare, André was able to save a few minutes to snap a handful of images.
This editorial is quite meaningful to us, it was a long but exciting process and to do creative direction with no boundaries is like a dream come true for a designer! I have to say my favorite part of this experience was when the workshop attendees first saw the Queen of Hearts set up!! The Queen was expecting them in the middle of the forest looking absolutely stunning and terrifying and it almost felt like they were in Wonderland!
A massive thank you to the whole team, this could never happen without this talented, incredible group of people: Laetitia from Floral Design Laetitia C. - fleurs d'atelier who always designs the most beautiful flowers, my girl crush Rime Arodaky who sometimes I honestly think, lives inside my head and was able to design 2 dresses that were absolutely perfect, Tânia from T Bakes Atelier who I trust completely in various aspects, my dear Camille Bonardi who created the perfect look, my friend Pascal Dele who tells the stories like non other, the adorable girls at Nice Plume and Creme de Papier who designed beautiful paper details for the workshop, the owners of Les Domaines de Patras who help us with production and setting up, the girls at Canigueral for sending stunning tabletops all the way from Spain, Heart of Gold Design who designed that incredible head piece for our Queen, Bella Belle Shoes for sending us the perfect pair of shoes, and of course, last but definitely not least, our dear friend and talented photographer, who always trusts our vision, Greg Finck.
Finally, if you work on weddings, make sure you sign up for the next edition of Greg Finck's workshop, in Paris next year, it's going to be crazy good!!

fall wedding in portugal
Last year we designed and shoot this wedding in Braga, at Hotel do Parque. Because it was raining so much that day, the ceremony was inside the Hotel. Actually it rained the entire day and all the portraits had to be taken inside the Hotel, it was quite challenging, but definitely worth the risk! Also, we love how the use of bold colors turned out, creating an impactful setting for dinner.

We're still struggling with updating our journal as much as we can, but I have to be honest and just go ahead and say it... It's not easy!! Currently we are trying to post 3 times a week, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, so keep stoping by to see all the fun we've been having while working!
Today's post is all about a day well spent with João Patrício , who ask us for a One to One last Summer! We always feel so honored to be able to sonnect with fellow photographers, florists, designers, etc, talking about this industry, our craft, our business and sharing everything they want to know about Brancoprata!! João was no exception and we had so much fun! Make sure you stop by João's blog to see his interpretation of this One to One.
