3D Inspirational boards to start the creative process

Did you know that 3D inspirational boards are a great tool to start your design process?

This past week we held two creative classes at our studio in Porto. We shared our favorite tips and tricks for styling wedding details. But more importantly we shared how we use 3D inspirational boards, to start the creative process with our couples.

When we mention these types of sensorial boards, most people think it’s a collage of pretty images. Photos that are well coordinated in terms of color palette. But it’s so much more than that.

It’s about choosing a specific path for your wedding day. A mix of colors, textures, sensations and of course, images that transport the viewer (YOU) to this new and exciting universe we are designing.

This is a starting point that keep us focused and organized. But at the same time allows our mind to feel free to create something unique.

These boards are a great way to initiate communication after the first brainstorm session. And also, enable us and our couples, to be extremely creative.

If necessary, this technique is quite flexible because it entitle us to always go back, correct and improve.

Here at Brancoprata, we truly considered it a excellent starting point. This is a method that later serves as the basis for all the visual proposals that we design for our customers. And ultimately we share with the rest of the team. This is something we’ve been using for more than 10 years now. But it still get us inspired for every design.
