March a new month endless possibilities

As I sit here and get ready to write this post on our journal, André is sharing with me a video of a Russian soldier in Ukraine.

He is just a young boy, and people in Ukraine are giving him food, a hot drink and a chance to make a phone call to his mother, letting her know that he is alive and well.

This soldier is unable to talk. He is crying and you can see the emotion on his face, he can’t believe they are helping him.

It’s impossible to feel indifferent to this…  It’s impossible to overcome the emotion of what is happening.  And not just in Ukraine, but in other places like Afghanistan, Syria, Myanmar, Nigeria, and the list goes on.

This is just overwhelming in the worst possible way.

Just to give you an idea, at least 27 current conflicts are happening in the world.

Now, it’s hard to think about a new month and be happy about it and it’s endless possibilites, when we feel the world is going crazy.

But the truth is that we can’t give up. We need to stand strong and even in the darkest of days, we need to make sure we are doing everything we can to help others.

Every little effort is a step closer in making this world a better place, we truly believe that … every small action counts, every word you speak to comfort others, every smile, every donation, no matter how small… it will make a difference.

We all need to acknowledge that we make the difference, we can’t look the other way and ignore it.

That is why today, instead of our pretty blog posts filled with inspiring images and happy people, we want to take time to address such an important matter and use our brand’s channels to make ourselves heard.

And finally, allow me to share the story of Villa Verde Farm , a flower grower in Ukraine who lost everything during a bombing in Kyiv, just a few days ago.

It’s been heartbroken to see how beautiful their farm was and how incredible their flowers were.
