EDITORIAL AT PALACIO DA BOLHAO, PORTO

For this editorial we choose a soft colour palette to complement the decadent look and highlight the beautiful PALÁCIO DO BOLHÃO backdrop. Considered one of the most notable buildings of the Portuguese architecture of the nineteenth century, the palace was built in 1844 by Antonio de Sousa Guimarães, one of the richest merchants in the country. The palace expressed the political and financial strength of the proud city’s bourgeoisie of the nineteenth century, and currently it’s the home to Academia Contemporanea do Espectáculo, a art school and Theatre. The building’s architecture, the various golden details and painted ceilings match perfectly our abundant flowers yet enhance the simplicity and elegance of our bride. And that jaw dropping fireplace, was the perfect setting to display the stunning cakes designed by TBakes, specially for this editorial. Finally, this shoot would not be possible without the help and goodwill of ACE, that allow us to shoot at the stunning Palácio do Bolhão, right in the heart of our city!
