Sunrise engagement session in Lisbon

This beautiful sunrise engagement session in Lisbon is just what we need today.

Warming light that helps to portray our dashing couple in the best possible way! Months before their destination wedding in Madeira Island, we met Dylan and Camden in the heart of Lisbon.

This part of the city was the perfect setting to finally take their engagement photos. The day started super early, and in time to chase that perfect light that always looks so magical, especially on film.

There are so many distinct features in the city, like the Portuguese pavement or calçada portuguesa.  Which is basically many mosaic patterns on the sidewalks.

Following a process created hundreds of years ago, you can found these tiles everywhere. And in an incredible variety of artistic patterns. In fact even today they’re painstakingly laid down by hand.

You can see the Portuguese pavement in a few images, adding the photographs, that unique texture.

When Jasmine founder of The Wedding Co, contact us to do this sunrise engagement session in Lisbon, we felt so fortunate. Not just because the city has a very particular light but also it was the perfect excuse to spend time with Dylan and Camden, before their wedding in Madeira.

Looking back at the images from this engagement session, one thing stands out, that unique glow, that one can only find in the early morning, at sunrise.
