When you mention romantic Fall wedding flowers to a bride, you immediately get their attention, right?
It’s just impossible not to get excited with a destination wedding in the Douro Valley. Specially if the location is this stunning Hotel called Six Senses Douro Valley. And if you add some romantic Fall wedding flowers to the mix, you know you are in for a treat.
For this wedding we partnered with Parque da Penha, who planned and designed the whole weekend.
Welcome Event with a citrus & Portuguese tiles inspiration
On Friday the couple had a welcome dinner literally under the stars. They had a band playing live music so they all danced the night away. As far as the decor, they opted for a long wooden table. And we styled it with a few white tulips, lemons and candles, keep things very minimal but fresh.

Wedding Day with romantic Fall wedding flowers
So, on Saturday was a whole different story, when we got to the Hotel, it was raining, better yet, it was pouring! So plan B had to be activated, and Parque da Penha nailed it completely. Ceremony was moved to under a tent and because our bride wanted to keep things minimal, we designed a very natural installation of flowers and greenery. And as far as the aisle we just added thousands of petals combined with dozen of glass cylinders with candles.
As far as dinner, we had to move it inside the Hotel and again everything changed drastically. Parque da Penha filled the inside of the Hotel with hundreds of candles. That way the interior seemed more cozy on such a rainy day.
Since our couple asked for a simple but elegant, magical dinner, Parque da Penha used thousands of fairy lights and greenery, hanging from the ceiling, that framed our centerpieces perfectly.
Although these aren’t your normal Fall wedding flowers, specially because the color scheme is quite minimal, we do love the romantic outcome that we got from such an inspiration.
