In every event, we believe in showing elegance through thoughtful floral design, to elevate the overall aesthetic and create unforgettable moments. So we thought we’d highlight the importance of floral design in achieving a cohesive wedding aesthetic, using a concrete example to showcase the thought process and intention behind our creations.
For every event, the creative direction serves as the cornerstone, providing us with essential insights into the desired mood, aesthetics, and colour scheme. When the theme revolves around floral design, having a solid starting point enables us to suggest ideas and concepts that align seamlessly with the event’s overall design.
Recently, we had the pleasure of collaborating with a bride who is a wedding planner. Her initial briefing was carefully thought out and precise, and translated into a great reference for our creative process. The inspiration words were “fine art, chic, and romantic,” with a colour scheme of white, various cream tones, and a touch of light rust.
We proposed creating an asymmetrical bouquet with varying heights of flowers. The goal was to achieve a loose and organic feel while keeping an elegant and delicate touch. This enchanting bouquet served as the foundation and inspiration for the rest of our designs.
For our flower choices, we carefully selected an array of exquisite blooms, including white garden roses, peonies, scabiosa (pincushions), lathyrus, matthiola (stocks), astrantia (masterworts), campanula (bellflowers), and more. We also added hints of greens like jasmine leaves and pittosporum, as well as italian ruscus for a more romantic look.
For the ceremony, we aimed to create a romantic English garden that looked quite natural and even a bit organic, but elegant and lush at the same time. Our main idea was to create a floral installation, starting from a tree and encircling the bride and groom in a semicircle on the floor. Using different heights on each arrangement added the desired organic charm. The dinner area provided a time for relaxation and celebration. We wanted to fill the space with festivity and warmth: a small floral installation at the entrance welcomed the guests, making the area more inviting; and the tables counted five designed centrepieces on each one of them, complemented by various smaller arrangements and candles in glass cylinders and candleholders.
At BrancoPrata, we believe that floral design is an art form that breathes life into the wedding aesthetic. A cohesive wedding experience stems from a well-defined creative direction that guides our floral design to beautiful and thoughtful arrangements. With each event, we take pride in understanding our clients’ visions, incorporating as much as we can into every detail, every experience, and every moment. By combining the beauty of film photography and floral design, we create an elegant, cohesive, and inspiring environment to celebrate the love stories of our clients.
